this is the only way to go

  2. The very best 5 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Apr 2020

A few years ago I tried about 10 different brands of ginger syrup, and I found Pickett's to be the very best. I've been buying it consistently from a great local shop (Bitters + Bottles) ever since. I love the full ginger flavor and the peppery spiciness. One thing I really appreciate is that it tastes great whether you make a more or less concentrated mix. I ordered my first bottles directly from Pickett's last week and really appreciated the prompt customer service.

  3. Delicious! 5 Star Review

Delicious! Worth every penny! I can't keep it stocked at my home because my friends keep begging for my reserve bottle. It's great with 50% mint tea 50% limeade and 1oz of syrup.

  4. great syrup! 5 Star Review

One of the best syrups on the market! Could use a touch more ginger, but I just add a few extra drops of ginger juice per glass to make up for it.

  5. Some Like It Hot 5 Star Review

Posted by on 30th Dec 2018

    (2nd review)

As a confessed "spiceahoolic", I prefer more piquant food and beverages. Although #3 is billed as "hot and spicy", I wouldn't mind it being a bit hotta. That said, it does have some kick and a great taste, and (coupled with my Sodastream) an economical alternative to the alternatives out there -- and you can adjust the concentration to your taste.

Love it, and have it on my re-order list when the second bottle gets about halfway emptied.

  6. What a Great Find 5 Star Review

Posted by on 13th Sep 2018

I received a Soda Stream beverage maker several years ago as a gift because my family knew me to be a regular drinker of Club Soda and sparkling water. While I am not one for soda or 'pop'...I do have a weakness for 'Ginger' beer and ale. Having spent the last few years trying numerous other options, I finally had the good fortune to give Pickett's product a try. I found Pickett's Ginger Beer #1 to be excellent...the #3 Hot N' Spicy to be sublime.
Pickett's #3 is superior to every other syrup I have tried and easily equal to the best of the bottled ginger beers I have experienced.

  7. Ginger, Spice, and Everything Nice 5 Star Review

Posted by on 21st Jul 2018

After finding the Picket's #1 a little underwhelming, I thought I'd give #3 a try (wonder what happened to #2?).

In short, the best ginger syrup I've tried so far; my wife makes some from scratch which is delciiously overly-ginger, but lacks the touch of sweetness and the viscosity of the Pickett's product. I usually combine the two 1:1, and then top of with Sodastream-carbonated water (at max spritz) for a delightful ginger beer.

Good enough that it tastes good even if diluted to less than the recommended 1:5 ratio.

If you prefer yours less sweet than do a web search for "ginger syrup recipe".

  8. Hands down, the BEST REAL Ginger Beer! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 5th May 2018

I have now tried tons of different ginger beer syrups/concentrates, and just bottled ginger beer. This is (no questions asked) the best tasting and the spiciest I have tried. I recommend this to everyone I talk to who enjoys real genuine ginger beer.

  9. Real ginger taste 5 Star Review

Posted by on 24th Jan 2018

I do not drink alcohol so my review is based on the flavor of Pickett's ginger beer on its own. I have had many different ginger beers and this is the best. Fever tree comes close but it doesn't have quite the kick or deep ginger flavor as does this Pickett's #3. Pickett's is all natural and that's also what I am looking for. No artificial flavors with weird after taste.
At times though I wish it were just a little bit less sweet.
But this stuff is great I have a glass of it with some club soda every night. Makes my stomach feel nice, warm and settled and I get that after burn in the throat which is the mark of a good ginger beer.

  10. One the best ginger beers on the market 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Jan 2018

I do not drink alcohol but love ginger beer and that is how I
drink Pickett's. If a ginger beer is really any good you should be able to drink it by itself and and enjoy the flavor on its own you should not need to cover in fancy whisky with a high alcohol content. But if that's what you're after then you've got the best mixer for the best whisky.

I have only tried the #3 spicy, not interested in mild beer ginger that doesn't have enough real ginger taste to it. It has a nice spicy bite to it (the #3 spicy) and a real ginger flavor.
It appears to be all natural with no caramel color which is what I'm looking for.

One thing though is sometimes it taste just a little too sweet.

I also like Fever Tree's ginger beer, but the two are different in taste. As for which is better depends on my mood. But there are times I prefer the Pickett's.
